#jomrepair is an initiative by Zero Waste Malaysia, registered NGO (PPM-044-10-29032018) advocating for a waste-free and sustainable Malaysia.
By submitting this registration, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Community Initiative: Repair Clinics are a community initiative by Zero Waste Malaysia and are not a commercial or registered repair shop. Repairs are carried out on a best-effort basis by volunteers.
2. No Guarantee: While we will do our best to repair your item, successful repair, full restoration, or long-term functionality cannot be guaranteed.
3. After-Repair Support: We'll be able to take a look at your items within 1 week of repairing it IF there is fault to the initial repaired issue/area.
4. Repair Costs: Final repair costs may differ from the initial quotation due to repair complexity, additional faults, or spare part prices. Your approval will be obtained before any additional work or parts are purchased.
5. Risk & Liability: You acknowledge the risks involved in repairing used or damaged items and agree that ZWM & volunteers are not liable for any loss, damage, or unsuccessful repair.
6. Replaced Parts: Unless requested otherwise, replaced parts will not be returned.
7. Collection: Repaired items must be collected within 14 days of notification. After 14 days, any deposit paid will be forfeited, and we reserve the right to donate, sell, recycle, or otherwise dispose of the item without further notice. Same rule applies to lack of response within the timeframe.
8. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to treat all staff, volunteers, and attendees with respect. Verbal abuse, harassment, or aggressive behaviour will result in the repair being stopped and the item returned.
9. Repairs generally take between 2-3 weeks for appliances and 2 weeks for toys. Your patience is much appreciated.
10. General: Repair Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
